I think the entire point is that they’re not supposed to be able to do that.
Wouldn’t they be a tad too powerful if they could?

I wouldn’t mind a smaller one with less damage when compared to the one medium bodys can use.
I like sliding in and popping up for a shotgun to the face with my medium character, be far more awesome to do it with my Light Bodied medic.

I guess they might not want to get too close to TF2 designs… but still, a lighter shotty would work and would be fun.
Scouts /are/ awesome after all.

Im not sure i would want anything weaker than the shotgun already in the game. Its already frustrating to put one or two shells into someone and still have them standing, only to kill you. If a shotgun was even weaker on top of that, i would just use the Tampa for CQC instead. Its basically a shotgun anyway >.>

A weaker shotgun wouldn’t work at all. The whole point of the shotgun in this game is to kill in 1 quick shot.
I wouldn’t mind a double barrel saw’d off that takes a pistol slot though. As a secondary with high burst damage along with super reload wouldn’t be that bad of an idea.
