Hy,

my problem is that i only find 20-30 servers. In Brink and in Steam server Browser. No filters are activatet. My Networkcard is updatet and all ports are forwarded in Router and Modem! My windows Firewall is off but I can’t find more servers. My friends find up to 1000 servers!
Pls help!

Hi,

I have the same problem. At the beginning I found about 250+ servers, but since the patch yesterday I only find 15-30 servers. About 25 of the 30 servers are in Campaign Mode. The remaining 5 servers are either full or have a ping of 300+ and are unplayable.

If I try to connect via IP I get a response from the servers, but they are not shown in the browser.

According to Steam my Brink version is up to date.

Did i mess some settings up?

Please help

EDIT: I just tried to connect to a server via invite from a steam friend, everything works fine. I just can’t find servers on my own :frowning:

I had this issue aswell.
It was solved by doing a verify integrity of game cache in steam.

So rightclick on brink in steam > properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache

Unfortunately it did’nt work for me :(, still only 15-30 servers shown in the browser.

Well since Brink usually Steamworks to find the servers. Im gunna guess and say you have a router and on this router you have a firewall!

Turn the firewall off on your router. If you dont wanna I think forwarding Steam router ports might fix the problem.

I checked ports and firewall, both seem fine. I can join all servers, which are running. I just can’t see them in the server browser. Only way for me to join the servers is via invite by a steam friend. If it would be a firewall/router problem I wouldn’t be able to connect to any servers, would I?

I said allready that my ports are forwarded.

So i just figured out that it’s a modem Problem because I’m at a friends house because we have a lan and he has the sam modem and we all only find 25-30 servers.

The modem is: Pirelli PRG AV4202n

anyone know what to do?

i already posted this problem here http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25933

so far i have no solution, have to check if there is a firewall on my router when i am back home, i own a “speedport w 504v” from the german isp telekom if this is of help to anyone^^

i cracked my record for a single search on sunday night and got 119 server o0
while my mate got something around 1000 :X

I also had this problem that i barely get servers shown, then i disabled my router firewall, started the game checked server browser and BOOM over 1000 servers.

Then turned router firewall on again and i still get over 1000 servers.

Try it out.

this is strange anyway, if it really is the firewall i would expect more people to have this problem since most router have firewall enabled by default. and i already forwarded the game ports (which shouldn’t be neccessary to find servers in the first place) on my router, so even if there is a firewall on the router it should make no difference. but hey, i will try whatever i can to get more server^^

workaround for the time beeing: i use gametracker to find a server and copy paste the server ip to direct connect. it’s annoying but better then not to play at all:stroggtapir:
