Does anyone know of a model making program which makes it so when you import a file in to it say thompson.mdc it will show the tag?

I use milkshape atm and when i import any md3 or mdc files it doesnt show the tags or the skin

Can anyone help?

You could try Lightray3d.
It also supports player model animation.
