I need help with creating custom textures

so,

I can’t use custom textures :confused:

(I unpacked /textures directory from pak0.pk3 to /etmain/textures dir…
and created /mytextures directory and copy there some JPG files)

Hi!

  1. I think you must write a shader script. It should be in the form of a file, and it can be called yourmapname.shader. Put that file in the script folder. (Inside the etmain folder).
  2. AND!: You should put the name of your map in the shaderlist.txt.
    This txt-file is already inside your scripts folder (in etmain). Open it and add your map’s name.
    If you do this, the game will read the name of your map and the shader file, and you will get the correct textures in the game.

here is a couple of threads that may help you as to why the black/yellow shows up. usually i find with custom textures and your paths are set correctly is the texture itself, not in proper format/size problems.

pamietaj o maxymalnych wymiarach textury - musza byc kwadratowe tj 64x64;512x512 itd itp…

hmmmmmmmmmm…

I created 256*256 textures and now game shows up this images :clap: :banana:

ps: radiant, można robić textury nie kwadratowe ???

ps2: I’am happy because now I can use my own textures :chef:
