I need an advice

I am gold 5 currently and I want to atleast get hopefully gold 1 til the 1st of January.
Thing is I did only 3 matches and last two were so dumb and I am afraid of dropping to Silver.
I don’t know if I should try or just settle with gold 5.

Get friends, wreck random teams until you get to Gold 1.
Cheap and mean, but the only strategy that works. There are so many dumbheads in comp right now since everyone wants these trinkets.
Edit: A fellow nice mod @Faraleth said to me you will get a trinket no matter what rank you are.
You can be Gold 5 and you will get a Gold 5 trinket.

This might already be answered somewhere, but I’m now curious whether it will give you a trinket based on your max achieved rank, or your final rank. I really hope it’s the former - else it feels like a punishment for pushing yourself to try and improve if you end up tilting (… me, in every single ranked game I’ve ever played :grin: )

@Jostabeere the only correction to that is you need to have SOME kind of rank to get a trinket D: I don’t think unranked will get one. :wink:
