His loadouts look much better than the gen 1 loadouts, glad to see he either only gets a Katana or Cricket Bat since knives just didn’t suit him.

Um…that’s a buff yo, Increased duration means it’ll be longer, and the undercover augment is no longer a mandatory thing for a good Phantom card.

The CR94 and CR54 are awesome, definitely my picks.

Myself and quite a few others hate the fact that he has a Katana/Cricket Bat only loadouts for gen2 simply because he’s slower when he has a melee out now overall and gibbing is also slower.

I’m kind of miffed with the whole lack of knives. The bat is aggravating to me because it doesn’t make all that much sense to me, and both are slow to gib. The new Crotz card looks very nice, but honestly, I’m glad I still have my CW Kek+Beckhill.

The new Kira cards are pretty disappointing. I honestly never use Double Time and would take Drilled over it any day. Still would like a katana for fun though.

Yes, which I use from time to time when I really want to get somewhere fast to cut somebody off/surprise. But I hate doing it and sometimes it’s beneficial to have a knife out when going around corners.

And it’s mostly about the speed of gibbing. Even the M1 attack on the Katana and Bat is slower than a knife gib.

Blishlok loadouts with the katana look good, tho Undercover on only 1 katana card (C94) coupled with it’s nerf is annoying…

The only way this is a buff is if you didn’t play with the undercover augment or if you won’t. If you did or will… then nothing’s changed.

You don’t realize how many cards actually have undercover in gen 2, and instead have a third augment that would actually be useful. Since we no longer need to have Undercover for the Refractive Armor duration to be any good, I’d say it’s a buff, we get increased flexibility for cards that fit different playstyles.

There’s a clear Melee, Gunner, and Ninjaneer loadout for Phantom now, CR54, CR94, and C64 respectively.

Yup, I see it as a buff. I don’t like the EMP implementation but the change to Undercover was nice as it makes the augment more of a nice to have as opposed to almost a requirement. So if you get a card with it you’re still getting normal times out of it and if you don’t get a card with it then you aren’t out a whole lot.

I’m with Amerika on this, voiced my concern about this countless times in the past when I first heard they’d be making new cards. It was a dumb move to appease the majority who can barely break even on kills/deaths.

Can’t always have 4 toggled if its on cooldown. So you’re forced to be slower now. Fun fun.

Well, at least it removes any reason to run around with your melee out. You have the same speed penalty with a two-hander that you do with pistol (somehow that makes sense…).

Umm… sorry, but this is not actually true. Undercover used to add +20% to ability duration. Now the ability is longer by 10% and Undercover gives you +10% to it’s duration. You can’t see the difference? :slight_smile: Let’s say that refractive armor lasted for 10 seconds (while running) before the update. With undercover it lasted for 12. Now it lasts for 11. With undercover it lasts for… 12.1!
How is that not a buff? :slight_smile:
