Don’t most players already know how to hold a chokepoint? You need a few players, hopefully one being a medic, and shoot the people that come through.

Chokes are important, but focusing them too much will lead to a breakthrough somewhere else or a ninja plant. Turtle brings to the table to temporarily block a passage with a barrier that can be destroyed with concentrated fire- which frankly doesn’t change much in pubs.

As for comp, I don’t know how the Bushwhacker and Fletcher meta will be shaken up.[/quote]

It makes sense for Turtle to come next but he’s still in development since he had never been playable in-game unlike Aimee, so there is a bigger possibility that Aimee will come since she just needs tweaks and some changes. However it’s just that Turtle’s an engineer and snipers aren’t as popular among experienced players.

I liked the announcer voice throwing out commands during game play now they only do it at a few spots I kinda wish I could go play the alpha version I thought it was way better than now

More of a way to defenders to defend themselves while defusing the bomb. The wall is pretty short, but you could crouch behind it.

Turtle will:

-allow you to create partial cover while you do objectives in case your team mates aren’t around to cover your ass
-be able to defuse the C4 on the second part of Underground when it’s planted on the right side where you can be shot from the escalators
-hopefully get assault rifles so you can hold your own even against stronger mercs
-allow for some crazy jumps by getting on top of his shield

Yep I agree, I had a look at the deployable wall in Tutorial mode and it really is short. Hopefully they make it taller.

That’s how I use the turret half the time. But the other half it shoots people. Sure, the shield has some uses but IMO Turtle needs something more in terms of weapons/HP to be on Bushwhacker level.

The differences will be that the turret doesnt have that much range and health, the shield will probably have a ton of hp, so it won’t kill, but it will defend better for the larger hitbox

In the video I saw of it, it looked too short. It kind of looked like your head would still be showing while crouching. I sure hope that isn’t the case because it isn’t exactly hard to headshot someone.

Nope. Doesn’t block the whole door.

…and it becomes your deathdoor if someone drops a Molotov down the top into the bomb room…
