Is it just me or does this game have some of the stupidest AI ever? I got it on playstation and so I cannot play online yet. I’m stuck to single player and challenges. The game is decent enough but I cannot stand playing with the AI. They seem to be only focused on firefights or getting their ass kicked. I know dying happens a lot more frequently in this game than others, but it does help to raise my anger.
I don’t like being the only one capable of carrying out every objective. Sure, occasionally I’ll get lucky and they’ll start it, but they almost never follow through. I always have to carry things, hack, do everything. Carrying things is where I run into the most problems as well. I get no back up from my bot team ever. It always seems the other side is much more organized, but I’m assuming it’s not.
And finally, what I see them do. Enemy teams run by each other and do nothing until a few seconds have passed. They don’t throw me revives when standing right there. It just seems bad. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve pulled off hacks when I shouldn’t have due to terrible AI seeing me and not shooting, but it’s too annoying on my team.
I want to experience a bit of strategy, doing my own thing and helping out. I like to take the role of support mostly, setting up turrets on a ledge or doing back missions like keeping the safe houses or whatever they’re called up. But I cannot do that if I am on a team of bots. They are not capable unless I do everything.
I guess I wanted to see if other people had this problem. I know nothing can be done now, but the AI is terrible.
Can’t wait for online to come back, I can see this game doing really well with competent players behind the characters.
