I have some problems running my server.

I am running a 5v5 server, or at least im trying to. here is my config:

Ok, here are the problems i encountered:

  1. There is no autoexec.cfg, no server.cfg and no <mapname>.cfg to set options at certain times, or at least i haven’t found a location where to put them. for now i just can +exec my config via a parameter when i start the exe.
  2. net_allowServerHijacking is set 0 and the server console confirms the state 0 but people still hijack my server
  3. In combination of 1 and 2 when people leave the hijacked server it starts in a campaign mode and not in my config.
  4. Since the last server update (May 23) the state in the server is “Network service is initialized” instead of “Online” but people still can connect to it.

There is no autoexec.cfg because you need to create it, not that it is needed for a server. The server.cfg’s are located inside the base folder and contain only a few cvars as most are set from the applyServerConfig cvar, which is supposed to be read after si_rules. You can however utilize a custom.cfg and run any cvars you want , but SD is recommending that you use the stock .cfg’s.

The map file is in the base folder as well, although most server owners are just adding a line of code to the server.cfg’s to run the map cycle or map vote.(one or the other not both)

As stated by humbug net_serverAllowHijacking 0 is the correct cvar.
