I hate typos

Just a post to say that I hate typos.
Its the third time I have to recompile my map because I gave a entity a “tragetname” … :weird:

Game engine should be able to detect the mapper dumbness and correct the mistakes. As well as any level-design fault. And create some nicer shaders too.

No it shouldn’t. If it did it could potentially also correct ‘mistakes’ that aren’t really mistakes.

And you thought this post was in any way helpful to the community because…?

‘target’ is one of the few words i have a problem with, all left hand, nice and spread out, not clumsy on a qwerty keyboard. some other words i found to build up left hand dexterity:

dead great crevasse dread seed safe save cave rave wave Dave deaf fear ease verse terse

i’m sure there’s more.

i think a handy option to have been added to gtkradiant 1.5 would have been maybe a checklist in the prefs of entities that would automaticaly have an empty ‘targetname’ and ‘scriptname’ added to thier properties when created. or something similar to the idea.

I always type Targetname its just you forgetnes
and no the game should not fix silly mistakes like Trargetname… :slight_smile:
