I got a serious question regarding the last segment of the Chapel mission

(frolicsomeCrane) #1

Can I get an answer as to how an EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse) Charge casually destroys a whole building and doesn’t just literally fry every type of hardware, including communications based on how powerful the charge is, not to mention the fact that the mercs all have to buy new equipment due to EMP charge, thus making your cash drop fairly low due to the unexpected need to acquire said equipment.

Thus I bring to you a petition, remove the Chapel map so we can get more credits in every other map.

IT MAKES SENSE GUYS, LISTEN TO ME.

NO MORE CHAPEL = NO MORE NEED FOR NEW EQUIPMENT = MORE CREDITS ON EACH OTHER MAP

I’M A GENIUS!

wat.

It makes sense dude just bear with me, okay. EMP charges do not work like that, the size of the emp charge getting delivered would render a few kilometers without any actual hardware, thus the mercs lose all forms of communications between them so they need to get new equipment. Voice Chat? Nah son, that’s gone now. So during the one minute brief period of time till the next map, THEY ARE RUSHING LIKE MAD TO GET NEW EQUIPMENT THAT’S NOT FRIED BY THE EMP CHARGE and they spend their own cash doing it, thus making the income lower for every other map.

Am I making sense?

I really like Chapel so i don’t mind getting paid less (yes i know it’s a joke). Now if you want to remove Bridge or Trainyard then i’m with you.

(TheLazyNinja) #5

Nah, there’s explosives inside the building that activates only when an EMP comes through.

(D'@athi) #6

Probably just some good-looking, but really overloaded structure, taking the final blow by some normally not catastrophic explosion? Seems to happen even in real-life…

(frolicsomeCrane) #7

Sounds like shoddy construction work if there’s explosives in the building without the defending team knowing.

no.

Michael Bay is in charge of this okay?

EMPs can’t melt steel beams.

(Ghosthree3) #10

EMP in this case doesn’t stand for electro magnetic pulse. It’s an explosive. Can’t remember what it stands for though.

(Yes) #11

Devs confirmed it is explosive marzipan.

(Mr-Penguin) #12

Doesn’t this belong in Off-Topic or Map Discussion?

(Gi.Am) #13

Explosive Marzipan hehe I like that.

Btw. EMPs don’t work like they do in the movies. They are not small devices someone builds in his shack and fries a whole block worth of electronics.
I’ll just leave this excerpt from wikipedia here

The range of NNEMP weapons (non-nuclear electromagnetic pulse bombs) is much less than nuclear EMP. Nearly all NNEMP devices used as weapons require chemical explosives as their initial energy source, producing only 10−6 (one millionth) the energy of nuclear explosives of similar weight.[4]

So the explosion is plausible, its probably just an EMP to ensure that noone can recover useful electronics from the rubble.

Inside job. Wake up, sheeple! The mercenaries were a false flag.

what about the building next door? why did it also fall over?
