I found out that "missions not refreshing" is not the actual bug

We all know that bug where sometimes we start Dirty Bomb when missions were supposed to refresh but we see empty spots and the times when missions refresh again.
We all thought that our missions didn’t refresh, but yesterday I found out we all were wrong

I started DB at 10 in the evening (missions refresh at 9 in the evening for my timezone) and I noticed that the missions “haven’t refreshed”, but since I didn’t get my daily play bonus in Stopwatch yet, I went ahead and started a game there (I found a game in progress so it ended fast). The map was Chapel so I put Aimee, Arty and Sparks in my squad.

After I played the game and left to the lobby I found out that I had my missions and they all were halfway done. The missions were: Earn 9,000xp with Aimee in squad, earn 2,500 support xp and earn 9,000xp in Stopwatch. And since I earned ~5,000xp in that quick unbalanced SW game I had half of each mission done (I also got half of the support xp mission done because dropping ammo got me like 1,200 support xp in that game). Then I did another SW game and completed the 3 missions and got my credits.

Short version:
Missions not refreshing is not the actual bug and it’s not even a thing
The real bug is that the missions are just not showing up
To get the missions shown up you need to play 1 game.
Sometimes the missions will appear after you play a game. But sometimes you won’t be able to see them at all but you can still complete them and get your credits for it. You just have to be lucky enough to guess and complete the right mission/s

Hope this helps to us (the players) out and also maybe now the developers will know what they are supposed to be looking at and fix this bug :slight_smile:

Actually it still is a thing, sometimes I’ve played 6 hours straight and it won’t give me new missions no matter how many games(and playing 6 hours straight I’ll miss out the entire mission cycle, but the next cycle after the bugged one usually works).
Restarting DB or PC doesn’t make any difference for this bug either.
Don’t think I’ve tried anything else.

Also the “play a game or two to have next missions appear” is a rather old suggestion imo and does not always work. Can’t tell it’s consistency, but it can’t be 100%.

Ok I changed it.
You probably need to do some progress in the missions to get them appear. But I’m almost certain that the missions DO refresh, they just don’t show up. I just always close my game after I started DB and noticed my missions “haven’t refreshed” but this time I didn’t do it and they showed up after a game

I had both versions. Mission that don’t refresh and pop-up after a match. And missions which don’t refresh nor pop-up at all, but refresh 3 hours later. So it’s not that you always have to play a game to “fix” that.

One day I left 1000 credits Fletcher mission, the next day it got replaced by 1000 credits Sawbones mission…

It is a thing, but it’s also a visual thing. The visual thing I reported last year but it’s never been fixed. I think they’ve said they’ve fixed it recently (please correct me if I’m wrong) but it still happens.

I found it out last year by accidentally completing a mission I didn’t know existed, but it never showed up the entire time. I basically just played 3 games with Bushwhacker in my squad and the whole time I was showing no missions available but eventually I finished a “earn 9000xp total with Bushwhacker in your squad” mission.

You probably mean earn 4,500 gamemode xp with Bush in squad. Total xp is for recons and fire supports. Engineers have gamemode xp missions

Yeah whatever it was, but I found it out by accident any way. I thought my missions just didn’t refresh but then I completed a mission without knowing what it was, and it told me which mission once I completed it. I did report it though, but I never heard anything back about it.

There is definitely a visual bug. I get it from time to time but as soon as any of those missions advance (usually after the next game) they show up. I’ve had that particular issue quite a few times.

I’ve never had missions not refresh though. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a different bug for that particular issue with particular players/accounts.

I had missions not refresh alot of times and even playing for 2 hours didn’t help to get them.

Sometimes I also get missions refreshed out of cycle. Like I do my 3 missions, its an hour until the next cycle but the game gave me 3 new missions regardless.

Yeah that too. I get this one all the time. I can do 3 missions and when my game finishes I have 3 new missions available and the mission wave timer was no where near being reset. That also has been reported quite a few times but again no word on it, and it still happens. I think I had this happen yesterday or the day before again.

I don’t think I’ve ever experience this bug before after 350+ hours of playtime. Maybe I have and never noticed???

I know people talk about it a lot, but my missions seem to always be there when I start the game up or after I complete missions and wait a short time for more to come in.

It’s not a common bug. But also not rare.

It happens once every so often. You are just lucky
