I feel like I should be getting more frames.....

I have a AMD FX 8350 and a Radeon R9 280X and my frames are fluctuating between 40-80FPS. I’m running the low graphics preset on the game. I feel like I’m supposed to be getting more frames than that.

Turn Thread Sync on or off depending on what you have it set to now, see if it makes a difference.

Make sure Anti-Aliasing is off, it is a huge performance killer, do what @Denzel says too, What Drivers are you running for that 280x? I had a bit of a performance boost with updating to the latest beta driver a few weeks back, but I think there is a new version out now running that crimson software, which I have not tried yet.

Also what temperatures are your GPU/CPU when playing? Have you checked through the configuration files to make sure frame smoothing isn’t on for some peculiar reason, I have it on to “cap” the fps at 80 for when I stream, usually get 90-150+ fps on low settings but i do have an i5 and am not sure if Unreal Engine 3 is cpu bound or not.

UE3 is very CPU dependent

Here’s a frame for you! Feel free to use.

Maybe someone will give you a frame, too, so you can have more Frames.

I have a question, where is the anti aliasing setting? It is linked to post processes?
