I don't want to have same mission over and over again

Dear SD, can you implement a “can’t get same mission type two times in a row”, please?

I’m not a big fan of execution, but I can stand playing it from time to time, it’s not that bad. Maybe even fun sometimes. Rarely. But yesterday and today I had to finish 5 execution missions, because I was given that type of mission 5 times for 6 refills. It’s way to much annoying. Of course, I can skip this mission, but I don’t want to lose 5k credits only because I’m keep getting this. I think that instead of forcing us to play exe so much, it would be nice to have more varied goals to achieve each day. I’m really enjoing my missions not only because I earn credits, but because it’s fun to have some kind of goal along the way. They are a great occassion to play mercs I don’t usually play etc. But playing execution over and over again is not fun, if you don’t like this mode.

I agree with you.

But these days you know…you are actually happy that you have your missions even refilled ^^

I already shifted my mindset of tossing away 500c missions to actually celebrate not having execution on the list.

How about something that promotes a bit of skill, like kill 10 enemies with a nade as Fragger or Melee 5 enemies or something like that?

Yeah, I guess you’re right

@Shirobon I’d like to see new missions, but killing 10 enemies with a nade is too easy, and about melee mission - oh, I can imagine how all those guys running with knives would ruin the gameplay  Not bad direction tho.

BTW - I can’t wait to see steam achievements and this:

Playing is fun, but playing for achieving new goals is even better. But not this topic I guess

They were just examples. I could find lots more if you want. Like deny revives 25 times or so, succesfully use pineapple juggler skill if you have a card with it, etc…

Complete primary objectives, get X amount of revive badges, get X amount of kill badges, etc

(BerylRdm) #7

How about that ?

(Szakalot) #8

you generally want to avoid very specific missions so as not to promote silly playstyles that hinder the team. get x nade kills might sound okay, but luck having that nader spent some explosive power on secondary obj/ev/hp stations

even detect x people with heartbeat sensor will have some vassilis camp at the back of enemy spawn, lobbying sensors

^^ T H I S ^^

They took away a lot of the mission because of all the whining. Time to live with your inspired results!

I do want the same mission over and over again. I want 10,000 combat experience, 4,500 support experience, and 15000 objective/stopwatch/merc experience everytime!

(BerylRdm) #12

Best trio: 4,500 support, 4,500 support with Aura in your squad, 15,000 stopwatch xp. Basically, you get all objectives done in 10 minutes

(Matuno) #13

Really? It takes forever to get support XP missions done, mostly because I am left to pick up the tab on being the friggin objective runner.

(LifeupOmega) #14

I’ve given up on not getting an execution mission every rotation. I must have lost out on 100,000+ credits by now.

Find an 8v8 server, join defence, go aura.

(BerylRdm) #15

Support xp is the easiest for me to gain, mostly thanks to Aura. Especially when your team is defending. You set up your healing station in strategic position, revive people and you receive tons of xp. This works for me at least.

(MarsRover) #16

You can quite reliably finish any support XP mission in a single balanced OBJ match, using any medic. You don’t need to automatically pick Aura. I would strongly suggest Sawbonez/Phoenix because those two have the HP and weapons to actually push and help your team.

(BerylRdm) #17

Oh, you didn’t see me going rambo Aura, mate!

(Floross) #18

Interesting…for support xp I prefer to supply ammo with sky.

(FalC_16) #19

This is a pro tip for newcomers. Aura is the best money maker time/efficiency.

I’m a big fan of the combat XP missions and OBJ or SW missions that deal in total XP.

I wish they would just give us a choice of a pool of missions to pick from each time the timer is up so we can somewhat customize what we are doing. I know the design right now is to encourage people to play something they might not want to play but that also works against you as you’re making people do something they don’t want to. So I’d rather err on the side of the player and just give them some limited choices or offer up higher rewards if they go outside their comfort zone. Like, I could take that 500 credit combat mission…or I could take 1000 credit support mission. Or 1000 credit execution. Something that encourages but doesn’t completely penalize a person for not wanting to do something.
