Many, many times I’ve complained about headaches, sickness and feeling overall uncomfortable, after having played DB. Now there was a time, a year ago(almost exactly), when it got quite a bit better. Yet I don’t know, if that was related to further optimizations from your side, or to me, playing around with the configuration bars in the options menu, or a combination of both.
However, as I’ve stated, I was quite happy, that I had no more problems, playing DB. BUT, “no more”, only meant, that I had only 5-10 percent of the problems, I had before. It was good enough to play for a longer period of time, but it still wasn’t absolutely perfect, I still could feel a certain dizziness in my head, when I played for a bit too long.
But now even that seems to be entirely gone; like in 110% percent gone. Again, I don’t know what you guys did, or if my brain just decided to finally un-f**k itself, but I can now play for hours and hours, without ANY problems. (I’m testing this since about 1-2weeks)
I still have trouble playing certain other games, especially when the controls are delayed and spongy. Many PS3, 1st and 3rd person 3D*** games have particularly delayed controls, which makes it nigh impossible for me to play them longer than 15 minutes. That’s why I assume, that this sudden increase of games, that I can’t play on the PC has to do with the fact, that more and more games are multiplatform releases and therefore quite spongy on the controls.
***(I don’t mean stereoscopic, just the usual ingame 3D)
Now DB is obviously a 100%PC game, but the mouse delay was quite strong for a while. Yet it got better and better over time; but I’m still not entirely convinced, that that was the sole problem, my brain had with this game, since there’s still a noticeable degree of (mouse)delay present. But maybe just as much as my brain can handle. I really don’t know what happened. Maybe you SD guys did something with the fps, I just can’t tell.
Most of the games that had caused trouble are UE3 games(Borderlands, Enslaved, Bulletstorm and Batman: AO). Maybe I’m allergic to that specific engine, or it has (again)to do with the fact, that said games are are all multiplatform games. Sprint FOV and normal zoom(iron sight) could’ve also played a part in this. Maybe you did something to the (IS) zoom, that made it just a fraction of a fraction more responsive, or just a little less strong on the zoom factor.
There are so many variables, I kinda gave up to figure them all out, but I’m totally happy to be in the game again.
PS: I have all graphic options switched to “off”, except for dynamic shadows. FOV is 100°.
There were also other guys that had problems with playing DB for a extended period of time, have those noticed any improvements in this regard?
