I don't know what to name this...

steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=673343225I just played a real fun Chapel game! It was so even I don’t even.

(Matuno) #2

It’s like that with most rounds I play. It’s most shameful when high levels join each other’s teams.

(MarsRover) #3

Stopwatch is a cesspit of imbalance because of the old ridiculous lobby system. Don’t play it if you expect a close game.

(Occult) #4

i leave as soon as i see clanies/friends/douches swapping over to pub together. it wont matter if it drops to 6v2 as long as there together. id love me some community servers just for this

(Split) #5

Otherwise when it’s not like this (which for me is barely ever) Stopwatch is my favourite game mode since I get most play time that way.

(RazielWarmonic) #6

The good news is soon you’ll be able to queue in matchmaking for casual and it should be more balanced and avoid situations like this.

And vote shuffle won’t work because the winning team obviously want to stick together

(Split) #9

When will this be released/when will there be more information about this? It could fix it

(frostyvampire) #10

I was in that game, I remember it lol

(Jostabeere) #11

[Heavy balance intensiflies]

(Kakutov) #12

@Matuno @MarsRover Wait, didn’t u guys say that level means nothing?

(HunterAssassin5) #13

levels mean little, but you can still gauge player skill to a point with levels.
1-9: completely to somewhat incompetent, CS:GO vet or hacker
10-15: reasonably competent
16-35: experienced player
36+ : leave the game now if this guy isnt on your team

(BananaSlug) #14

@TheRyderShotgun i am 46/7lvl ( i dont remember xD) and i met 100lvl+ that sucked and lots of 16lvl+ guys that didn’t know they are playing fps

(SereneFlight) #15

10-15: reasonably competent

I don’t know if all those lvl 10+ medics who just run past you when you’re downed are “reasonable competent”
Expect them to rez me once, shame on them.
Expect them to rez me twice, shame on me.

(Kakutov) #16

Stopwatch games are unfair. Today I played that mode for like 3 hrs and every single game was a disgusting stomp. Im never gonna touch it again.

(SamillWong) #17

Every single game? That’s exaggerated, you’d at least get into one game that’s fair in three bloody hours, even by chance.

If you ever find yourself in an unfair match that can’t be fixed, just get outta there and find a new one…

(MTLMortis) #18

If that actually happened, I’d be looking at the common denominator in all those matches.

(Amerika) #19

The issue with SW is that due to the match length and the nature of the “oh god it’s taken more than 3 minutes to do the OBJ so I better spam callvote as things are obviously imbalanced” types of players (who then leave if it doesn’t pass) it’s hard to get a good SW pub match in.

Then you throw in the fact that it’s ridiculously easy for anybody to time spawns in SW and spam areas with explosives on people running out will make it extremely frustrating for some people prompting them to quit out.

I will be pretty happy for the new queuing system as it will hopefully fix the sorting issues (less reliant on team 1 ELO vs. team 2 ELO and instead try to match player to player) and hopefully less people will drop out due to small penalties. I’m not a big fan of a penalty unless it’s something that simply puts you with other consistent droppers and is easy to clear but it will definitely help alleviate the situation I think.

I play SW pretty often but I tend to like OBJ games more. They are shorter and much less likely to have constantly fluctuating teams. And it’s harder for the average joe to time spawns with grenades.
