no, no new map RIPped. I got permission to convert valley of king (look on rtcwfiles.com , its a file of week for RtCW)

ps. the u new map (pool[?]) with swimming pool its better than fr11 ! :slight_smile: very good looking, i play this

Sin you scummy arsehole, I saw your comment on RTCWFiles, and decided to email the map author, recommending he withdraw permission for you to convert it because you are nothing but an attention-seeking pile of crap.

He never gave you permission :slight_smile:

I guess in some country that translates to he has permission? Hell if I know…

PS The reason you are getting that error is because you’ve de-BSP’ed his map and it’s an RTCW map not designed to work in ET. If you’d have had permission to convert it and been given the source, you’d know what was wrong and would have fixed it.

Theres a difference between giving permission and someone trying to rip your work off and make a shit job of it and not caring… That falls under the latter.

I know english is not your first language so it’s conceivable that in this case you actually DID think you got permission, but you are WRONG.
Rummie has REFUSED you permission to convert his map, therefore I suggest you stop doing it.

For God’s sake Sin, have you not learnt your lesson yet - do your own bloody maps and stop ripping off other people’s hard work :confused:

I’ll try to explain what his comments to you mean.
He was simply accepting that if you want to go ahead and rip off his map without permission, then unfortunately there is very little he can do. HOWEVER he does NOT want you to convert the map.

ugh. i knew polish peolpe were “famous” for stealing everything they can
get their hands on - but i didn’t knew that counts for digital content, too.

hey sin, just in some plain english: nobody will say anything against being
inspired by some map. inspiration is what makes us creative. but you WILL
be blamed for copying maps. other mappers have spant weeks and months
to build a map, so you can bet they won’t be happy if you rip their hard work.

build your own maps and earn the fame. otherwise i bet no serious page
is going to host your ‘releases’ if its a conversion without permission…
