I CAN'T PLAY SINCE UPDATE - PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hello there.
Since the pheonix update, the main screen has gotten buggy for me.
And, the lobby for any game will freeze over and over and over, I literally cannot do anything. And, to join a match often takes about 5-10 minutes.
This never happened before and it literally has made the game unplayable for me

I’ve sunk over $200 into this game and I don’t regret a penny. I really would appreciate some support. If you’ve had this problem before or know how to fix it I would really appreciate your time!

Uh, I only have one suggestion: make a backup of your ShooterEngine.cfg file, delete the original, then run DB. Do you still get these issues? If you dont, there’s something in your cfg that the new update doesn’t like.

Best to reset anything the game may have cached, this is:
“C:/Users/%USERNAME%/Documents/My Games/UnrealEngine3”
“C:/Users/%USERNAME%/AppData/Roaming/Shooter”
(May differ slightly with Windows 10, but you get the idea)

Remove those folders and verify the intergrity of the game through Steam.

Mind you, this will remove all your current settings. Apply them manually after having started the game at least once.

UPDATE: Got the game working again, had to lower the resolution, and launch the screen with only one monitor on. Apparently the latest updates have slowed the game down, I used to be able to play full resoultion (1920 x 1080) but now I can’t without lots of lag ;( (I have to use 1280 x 720)
