I cannot compile light and vis

First I compile with: BSP -meta

When I try to compile with: -vis I receive this message:

ERROR
MAX_MAP_VISIBILITY exceeded

why :???:

When I try to compile with: -light -fast I receive this message:

MAX_TW_VERTS exceeded

whats wrong :???: :???:

(the map is a submarine surrounded by a cube)

PLZ HELP ME!!!

I assume the submarine is made of brushwork and not a model? If so, you need to make the submarine brushes detail instead of structural. If you don’t know what the difference between detail and structural is, do a search on those two words.

The submarine is big and have 3 floor, you can enter in it. I must make all the submarine in detail??

You need to make the majority of the non-axial brushes detail. Now we are getting into a discussion of proper vis planning and implementing. Do a search because there were some really good discussions on this within the last month.

You probably don’t want to make the whole submarine detail.

I have make all the doors, computers, torpedo… detail, and I can compile light :smiley: :smiley:

The problem with:
ERROR
MAX_TW_VERTS exceeded
is resolved

but I cant compile vis :disgust:

I must continue to make detail or is another solution :???:
I dont wont that al my submarine is detail and no brushwork :bored:

try make the whole map “detail” except the box to the void

Unless your map is very simple, that is not a good solution. To use structure and detail correctly, you need to understand what they do, and use them correctly.
