Your OpenGL version reported is 2.1. Please install the latest AMD/ATI drivers that support OpenGL 3.1.

(Swagzilla) #3

I have…maybe I’m installing the wrong one? Link me please. Thank you.

(Crispy) #4

You’ll need to go to AMD’s site and select the appropriate drivers (see ‘Support and Drivers’).

(Swagzilla) #5

Okay I need assistance badly. The driver update for me which is Mobility Radeon 4500 Series does not work. When I run it, it says that I do not contain the proper graphic adapter…keep in mind I can play all other games on max settings but I don’t see what the problem is here.

(Vonduras) #6

I’m getting the same error message, but I’ve updated my drivers multiple times, and my system says it supports OpenGL version 6.14.10.8395. so I’m confused as to why it wont work.

(RR2DO2) #7

Vonduras: that’s your driver’s dll version, not the OpenGL version supported by said drivers.

6.14.10.8395 are AMD/ATI’s Catalyst 9.1 drivers, these are over two years old. Follow the link in Crispy’s post and obtain newer drivers for your hardware.

(RR2DO2) #8

Swagzilla: it is possible that AMD/ATI can’t provide drivers for certain mobile devices utilising their hardware (it says so on their driver download page). In this case you have to contact the device’s manufacturer directly for support.

Vonduras: 6.14.10.8395 is the driver dll version, not the OpenGL version supported by these drivers. 6.14.10.8395 maps to AMD/ATI’s Catalyst 9.1 drivers, which date back to early 2009. I suggest you visit the paged linked in Crispy’s post and obtain more recent drivers.

I am getting the same error message. I am running an ati mobility hd 3670 and have reinstalled the drivers multiple times, I even tried rolling back to 11.3 which someone had suggested and its still saying it. Whats the deal devs? How do I play this game?

(vinone) #10

I’m getting the same issue, talking to Sony right now to see if I can get it fixed…

(Crispy) #11

Please all follow RR2DO2’s advice (update drivers; if that doesn’t work contact the manufacturer of the device for support).

(Swagzilla) #12

So basically since my manufacturer (Toshiba) doesn’t have a recent update for my driver (which means opengl won’t update), that means I’m stuck with a copy of Brink that I can’t play??? I am very disappointed right now. I was sure I passed the system requirements. System requirement labs told me I passed requirements for this game as well as other websites and forums. Is there ANY other solution?

(croper87) #13

I just realized that my stupid driver won’t update either, so I have the same problem. I want to play this game!!

(vinone) #14

I contacted Sony for my laptop and it’s true, i have the most recent update but since “the computer is shipped with the OEM version of the graphics driver.” as Sony said, I can’t use the newest update from ATI.

(croper87) #15

I did some searching and found this program thats supposed to let you install new ati drivers on laptops but havent got it to work yet. give it a shot and tell me if yall get it working.

Follow that STEP BY STEP and Brink should work. It’s working for me now. I am so happy right now
