I can not spawn because i changed my quick melee hotkey to space bar...

There is no option for making a new button for spawning in the options menu. And now i can play for 1 life… and i can not spawn for the rest of the game…

It doesn’t rebind itself when you set the melee key to something else? That’s odd. I’m sure there’s a fix for this, but I don’t know what it is.

Honestly, I’m just posting to say, on the bright side, you’ll be able to fit right in for execution mode!

Ya, i switched the quick auto to Alt, and it doesn’t rebind itself.
I just get to sit and watch and get gold for nothing.

On the bright side…

Just to give people the full details, i’ll explain everything i see on my side.
Typically when you die, the counter pops up in the lower center of the screen counting down until the spawn timer. Once the timer reaches zero, it says something to the effect of “Press [Space] to deploy”.

When i die, i still see the counter. However, when it counts to zero, there is just a black bar in the lower middle of the screen. It says nothing, and no matter what buttons i hit… I can’t spawn.

The real issue, however, is that there is no direct way to bind that key in the options/controls menu…

Uhm, spawning is not bound to [Space], spawning is bound to your jump key - important difference. I’ve bound jump to mouse2 (right click) and I have to right click to spawn, works just fine. Do you by any chance play without jumping?

Ah, saffron might have a point there. Try rebinding your jump key and seeing if maybe that fixes it!

It’s bound to whatever your jump key is. For example my jump is mouse2 so I use that to respawn. It does actually tell me that while I’m dead though, so if it’s not for you perhaps you have some other issue.
