How to survive the next merc rotation #2

(SteelMailbox) #1

So SD f’d up and the next rotation is Kushwanker Vaseline and Nader so I feel like I need to make another one of these.

 1. Frag the turrets, frag the Vaseline’s and just try to not get martydom’d
 2. Jump around a lot since the Vaseline’s have hard time to hit you like that
 3. Check your corners for turrets and if there is a turret there do not try to kill it since the Kushwanker is probably nearby so unless you sure you can handle them both just do a turn and stay away from there
 4. You can’t
 5.
Just play Kira
6.
Just pray the nades wont hit you in the face (play with a merc that has more than 90 hp to avoid the one bang) and don’t forget Rule #1: never knife a nader. About turrets, dont fight them head on. Just walk around and stab them in the neck or use explosives from a far. Also they dont have a really long range, so shooting them from a fair distance away will work too. And as far as vasilli goes, just keep on the move and prepare for a team full of snipers.
Hopefully you will be able to survive this fuck up of a rotation good luck.
I will quote new advices as they come to the original post.

Or you could just play Phantom and weeooweooo

Edit: I played with Kirays earlier, I countered his Kira with my Skyhammer.

#3

And I countered your Skyhammer with my Kira!

(JesseKomm) #4

Best counter to everything is a good Fragger, really starting to love playing him so it’ll be fun to blow up squads of Vassili’s because they all stand still and stick together for no reason.

TAKE MY GUNFOOD YOU SLUT.

(ostmustis) #6

vassili counters fragger, not the other way around

I beg to differ, in most encounters I win against Vassili, only time they win is when they get a lucky headshot on me from across the map.

Bad Vassilis counter themselves.

I think Bushwhacker on rotation is my least favorite merc by far. I always try to think of good spots for where a turret would work best and then keep those in my head. But when he’s on rotation those things could be literally anywhere including sitting in the middle of an open room where you would never ever see them against a more experienced player. Nothing is worse than spawning and going around a corner into what should be an open room and a turret eats you that is just sitting in the middle of the room.

(LifeupOmega) #12

K121 Fragger will be my go-to these next two weeks then. Sigh.

(Wolffe7) #13

Of course one turret is bad in that room. But it’s more annoying when like 4 or 5 turrets are next to each other and then they eat you.

(Amerika) #14

Yup. And they do tend to clump like that for reasons that will never be known to me I think.

(SteelMailbox) #15

I personally think free rotation should be taken out and just give a free engineer cause I really hate seeing all these 50k mercs used by level 1’s

(Amerika) #16

Can’t agree with that. I think the free rotation is key to keeping people invested who have started. It might be slightly annoying to see lower level players stack free mercs but I’d rather have that than see 4-6 Skyhammer’s per server which is what would happen if they all only had access to the base 2 (or 3 if they offer an engineer).

I do think the baseline merc offerings will be upped when more and more mercs get added. They did say in the stream they are designing mercs that nobody has ever heard of before so it would make sense to up the base offering to include an engineer and maybe even a recon at some point.

It is just what I think whatever they do it will take something special to have merc diversity in servers.

Well, removing access to mercs won’t help merc diversity

(XavienX) #19

Basically this is the noob magnet rotation so expect to meet a lot of non sense actions that piss you off.

 1. Play Phantom. Your cloak tanks nades, turrets won’t shoot you, and the Vassilis will spend so much time scoped in that they won’t even see you sprint by.
