How to show kills and deaths!!

(BMXer) #1

type this in console and see your kills and deaths…

First type "admin kick " and hit tab to see what # you are on the list.
Then type “stats display total_kills” to see everyones kills.
And type “stats display total_deaths” to see everyones deaths.

It only updates after each objective is completed or the map is completed. So it will show 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 until then.

Thanks the bebit for pointing this out over at the TheBrink.TV forums!

Wow, sounds WAY to convoluted to be worth doing.

some comp players absolutely need this for validation

Some people dont even play the game and need more post for the post count wiener length war.

I hope someone with some coding skills can take this info and run with it. Hopefully make something along these lines…http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23186

aaahh, I’m sorry, I don’t need to play to think k/d stats are useless in normal pub play

stats will be able to be parsed, there will be a stat site in a while at www.brinkthegame.com, all your e-peen needs satisfied

happy now ?

K/D is so useless in this game. Heck, I never even bother to check the Scoreboard at all. Winning, teamplay and fun is all that matters for me. So I congratulate SD for not (yet) giving in to the whiners who all need to check, how awesome they are doing :stroggtapir:

It’s about time you stopped trolling Nail.

Considering objectives hardly get done in this game and teamwork is basically useless, knowing how many kills you got after spawn raping the other team on the first objective adds something extra to the game!!
How does teamwork come into play when %90 of the matches turn into TDM spawn rapes? Its hilarious.

PS. off topic, but is there literally a thread you haven’t replied to on this forum Nail? Honestly, do you make a point to reply to every single thread or what? No offense homie, just wondering how you could possibly have over 6,000 posts! (great chance to bolster you post count with a reply!)

Not true at all. Not even a little bit. Not even once.

You sound bitter about something. Homie.

Kills and deaths don’t really matter… If there’s a way that shows damage given and damage received. Now that would be nice.

Speak for yourself homie but I am a bit bitter they didn’t balance test this game enough. I can only speak for myself but MOST pub games result in me standing outside the enemy spawn raping away until them map ends. (50+ kills) Maybe you have been playing with bot only homie?

Same commands but use:
stats display total_damage

BTW, none of these stats matter really! Its just a way to let yourself know how well you did in certain aspects of the game. You have to be stupid if you think kill, death, or damage is what wins maps. But then again, you might just be a troll if you are replying to this just to say k/d is pointless.

They’re just metrics and not an objective in itself, that’s true and BMXer pointed that out himself. They can be useful though and I fail to see why you shouldn’t display those kind of things in the game. XP earned is displayed on the scoreboard for everyone to see and no one seems to have problems with that but that’s nothing more then just another metric. Getting humongous amounts of XP is no guarantee your team will win the map either.

Double standards?
