(Kic) #1

Can someone told me how to set up Radiant 1.4.0. to load all textures from A to Z
when I have many pk3 in etmain folder Radiant 1.4.0. donť show all folders of textures
I need work with all textures and I dont use GTK Radiant 1.5.0. ( can show all textures A-Z)

in the main menu go to “Textures” and select “textures” . it will load all textures you have in
\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\etmain extures
(may take some time if you have extracted the whole pak0.pk3)

if you want to have other textures from different pk3´s you have to extract them extra to your textures folder in etmain.

Thank you donť work, it show me only textures from alpha to kasttlederhennes

the last line of the “Textures” dropdown menu says:

---------- >

keep your mouse on that and another dropdown menu will appear next to it showing the rest of the textures…
this is the way gtk radiant 1.4 does it, in 1.5 the dropdown list just scrolls down if it doesn’t fit (which is better imo, im always annoyed by the fact that if i have ET running (my resolution changes then) that i cant acces all textures without switching to windowed mode…

I am not beginner, I understound you , I have 5 columns of textures in 1.4.0. but I need textures whitch are on the end and Radiant 1.4.0. dont show them, I must always transfer some pk3 from etmain folder if I want to show textures whitch are on the end position. ( only Radiant 1.5.0. show all textures from folders and pk3), but I want mainly work with Radiant 1.4.0.
look here my project, I work on it very slow

well if you have 5 rows and then still only reach the K that tells me you’re mapping with a (very) nonclean install of ET… and that might be the problem, or simply because there are too many pk3’s for radiant to handle

(Kic) #7

but in some pk3 exist interestig textures, give me some tip, what to do with them - delete?or place on other place?

(Flippy) #8

Make a clean install (install ET again but on a different directory) and then when you need custom textures extract them from their pk3’s and put them in the textures directory. If you don’t do this you will more than likely not be able to find all your textures to put them in your pk3… (causing players who don’t have your pk3 files to see black/orange textures)

To load all textures you have only to load a map decorated with all the textures you have. :fiesta:

This is by far the most sensible thing to do. Mapping out of an install that is full of clutter is setting yourself up for a world of hurt later on.

Remember that you can also control what folders appear in the menu using shaderlist.txt. Try to keep your shaderlist.txt down to just stuff you actually want to use as well though!
