i like this game very much. it has the potential to become what you wanted it to become.
So heres a hint how to avoid that and make it fail at release:
- release it without the full maps. bring out the maps one by one
- stick on the actual price model. sell mercs one by one for a hight price. keep merc rotaing.
in addition you could:
- not make over the loadoutsystem. keep cosmetics and percs binded.
OR: ( just my point of view):
- bring all maps on release and then new ones once in a time.
- ajust the pricing model - both realbucks und ingame currency
- divide cosmetics from percs. Sell cosmetics to the fan-boys and handle percs with the loadoutsystem.
( most of the other “minor issues” like individual balancing of mercs and stuff wont matter that much as the game itself compensates them.)
and … why not give the cusomer the chance to buy or trade for ingamecurrency any merc he wants from the beginning?
Keep the rotation of “free to play mercs” if you like but show all inactive mercs and and let the customer choose wichone he wants to invest money or time into. i dont think that the current system of offering the merc one by one is motivating to stick at the game but frustrating and make people quit.
I think you have the chance to have a great sucsess with this game so … plz dont mess up.
