How to report a clan/team/guild?

(Cesmode) #1

Hi SD, curious if I am able to report a clan via a ticket or something? I am unable to do so via in-game report system since I was vote kicked out of the game because I told these guys that they ruin every game that they are in.

Any game that these guys are in, theres sometimes three or four of them, they do not play the game. They sit on opposite teams, just looking at each other, playing around, talking in chat. It essentially cuts the playerbase of the game by 3 or 4 people. Taking up spots from people in queue that might actually contribute to a good experience. And if you have anything to say about it, they vote kick you off the server.

I’m sure some of you can probably which clan it is if you play regularly enough.

So how can I report them?

(Xan) #2

They cant vote kick you successfully since they only have 3/4 people
Also, you can file abuse report individually
Sometimes, it’s just how people have fun

(Jostabeere) #3

You can’t report people for not playing like you want them to play.

(YeOldeButtcheek) #4

Leave said game.

(Occult) #5

esc > leave game

They can easily vote kick you if there’s just 3, and it’s almost guaranteed if there’s 4 (on one team). I was once vote-kicked by 3 clan members just so they could get their 4th clan member (who was on the other team), on their team. That’s my guess anyways. The problem is that people just hit F1 without caring about a reason or sometimes think the person’s just afk even if they clearly aren’t.

People abuse the vote-kick system so much and it gets annoying at times. Maybe I just get in bad games.

(Vocopi) #7

Honestly it’s not just clans its sometimes friends kicking random people to get their other friend on the same team.
Just leave the match simple as that.

(Xan) #8

@Sploosh Thats the case if the game aren’t full

(Daergar) #9

Odd (not really) how some defend people being asshats. The whole Don’t be a d*ck died real quick, eh?

(Naralin) #10

I have seen this type of player quite a few times too.
But to be honest in most of the cases I think they were just 90% afk just to get their trinket hunt done.

It has been said before and I will say it again: voting them out can fail sometimes because the vote is like hidden and the keys are the same to select your mercs. So if your fav merc is at F2 and you don’t pay attention you will vote NO.

Hey @Cesmode,

If any players are being a dick, you can always report them via our customer support (https://support-dirtybomb.nexon.net/hc/en-us) with any information you can give them and they can help you out. Please note though, we do need some kind of proof!

Sorry about this, and gl in future matches!

Why censoring “shirt” but not “dick”? I’m confused.

… so none of the chat is logged in-game? People can spout whatever they want, and if I don’t take a screenshot, there’s no log kept on your servers.

You know how many data it would be if all chats would be stored in case someone might say a bad word?

(MTLMortis) #16

Nothing to report. Find another server.

300 servers, fully packed with 16 players, 24 hours a day 7 days a week, saying 1 sentence every 10 seconds which averages 50 8-bit character lengths non-stop for an entire month… that’s about 63GB. (stats based off Steam’s data on the game plus 15-20% growth)

AKA, nothing. I’ve indexed TB++ datastores and they are super quick on results despite my lower end hardware.

I wanted to do the math. I’m not trying to make a point. I’m bored. Let’s consider voice recording, as well

One month retention seems fair right?

Hi,
Thank you for the response and your attention @RazielWarmonic . However, you do know that I have absolutely no proof since I was booted from the game(unexpectedly) and it would be quite difficult to even prove this in a screenshot. In this situation, how would I have known to take a screenshot of their lame cross-team activities before a quick ~3 second vote to boot me? I understand that this is a case of “he said she said” and I really dont mean to be “that person” on the internet that complains. However, I have taken the high road by not publicly naming and shaming them their clan name here. I could have certainly done so (maybe its against ToS?? I dont know). Im sure there are probably some people in this very thread that know who I am talking about.

In all honesty, most people in the game are pretty nice, even if people get into little arguments. Its fine. For example, if someone complained about my level of skill, whatever. I’ll deal with it. Thats one person complaining and its not determining the success or lack thereof of the match/experience. But clans that enter a game in numbers with the sole purpose of not actually playing, but goofing off with eachother on opposite teams and who boot people who confront them about it creates an even more toxic environment to play in. Opposite teams, not firing at eachother…just jumping, crouching, staring at each other, probably talking in some sort of voice chat.

Yes, “find another server”. I get it. Not a solution though. Compound this solution with other examples of toxic and literally game breaking behavior and eventually you’ll run out of servers to join, people stop playing Dirty Bomb, etc. Finding another server is not a long term solution that works toward the health and success of the game. Its a temporary band-aid for the player, not for the outlook of the game.

If I see them in game again, I’ll try to get a screenshot of it, but how would you know if its a screenshot of them goofing off vs a screenshot of them passing by eachother moments before trying to shoot eachother? It would be hard to tell.

Thanks for the responses everyone.

FYI…games such as World of Warcraft do this. I know thats an extreme example given the company size of Blizzard and the mountain of resources that they have. But they also have kept logs when their population was 10-12 mil too. All relative, SD might have the capacity to do the same given Dirty Bomb’s (much much smaller) population and their available resources. who knows.
