How to properly install the extras that come with Q3map2 ?

(Infernis) #1

Hi there,

I’ve downloaded the latest version of Q3map2 and I noticed a directory called “extras”.
In this directory there are a number of .tga files, like alpha_0.tga and some shaders. I tried looking it up in the readme or on the website but none gave me answers on how to set it up corretly.

I placed the .tga images in my textures common folder and the shaders in my scripts folder but it doesn’t seem to work in the editor. I’ve tried it this way because I read it somewhere after a google search.

Could someone please explain how or point me to a site that tells me how, please ?

Thank you

it looks like you put them in the correct folders but did you add the shaders to your shaderlist.txt file? its just a list of shaders (without the .shader extension) that you want q3map2 to load up.

these are what each the extras are for;
