How to prevent a func_constructible of being destroyed for some time?

Hi,

I have the following “problem” in my map:

The bridge in my map can be destroyed by axis engineers using TNT. I think that it can easily happen that the tank is on the bridge while it gets destroyed… of course I can’t make the tank fall down or get destroyed too (at least I don’t want that). I would like to make the bridge (func_constructible) invulnerable for the time while the tank is on it. Is that possible?

e.g. in caen the tank flies, too…
i think the besti thing you could do is make a func_static with the same brushes as the bridge.
then setstate the bridge invisible and alertentity the func static bridge

Yea… I think that’s the best idea. Let’s see how that works (maybe i get flickering textures … but let`s see).

The trick with the invisible state and the func_static worked really well :smiley:

Hmmm, I thought you could detect how many dynamites are on the bridge and thus decide that it is not safe for the tank to cross the bridge…

hm. then you may not put a spline on the bridge… it would be a large distance which has to passed in 30 secounds.
ye i think that would be nice that the attacker have to take care of something xD
