A spotting ability? no he needs a good ability, like a aoe buff, maybe increase melee dmg in surrounding area, or increase bullet damage by X

He’s been contradicting himself all over the place, but I’m sure he wasn’t against Phantom getting stealthier.

Recons are defined by having spotting abilities. SD stated that the Phantom isn’t going to have a spotting ability, so he needs to be re-categorized into the Assault field.

And honestly, that means he needs a grenade. Flashbang, tear gas, just something.

All he needs is to have a cloak that works (actually closer to invisible, as it was pre-nerf), and perhaps WHILE cloaked, boost the run speed of himself and teammates within a small radius. Getting to the front lines faster is always a good thing. Also useful is for Phantom to be able to escape after a kill, since he has no method for AOE damage like Fragger and can’t pick off multiple enemies in the same way a sniper would.

On an unrelated note, having the katana gib on kill would make his picks actually matter, and not just result in a revive for the enemy after Phantom is forced to flee.
