How do i make menu skins and “starting movies”?

What do you mean with menu skins?
Just other colors?
You should take a look at the menu-files in the ui-directory.

Quake Video Maker can save file series as roq-file.
(I think it also can convert avi’s to roq’s but I’m not sure about this).
There’s also another tool.
But I don’t know the name at the moment.

I mean menu background and other things for my mod…

The background is an image somewhere I’m sure, people that have made soundpacks have been able to get a custom background running. You will probrably have to go into some text files and change the paths to the background image as well.

A new style/GUI for the menu is going to be a lot harder than just tweaking the colors, and, to be honest, I don’t know for sure exactly how it works. I’d like to know some of this too, so if anyone knows how…
