Enable the movement keys (WASD default) to exit turrets and go in the direction they are pressed.
Much like how exiting turrets in Half Life 2 worked.

This, and the fact that sometimes, it is so slow that you press the use key a second time and re-mount the mg (and occasionally, die)
I think the delay is intended to stop people using the mg as a “dodge”. If there was no delay then you could dodge bullets by double tapping F to hop on and then exit the mg.
I would prefer to have the delay halved each way, so have half the delay getting on the mg and half getting off it. This would make the delay significantly less noticeable.
I assumed the delay was more to prevent players from just jumping on and firing a bunch of bullets, then jumping off before they could be shot.
Dirty bomb isn’t the type of game where you’d really be benefited by repeatedly hopping on and off of an MG to “dodge” bullets. Why not just shoot the enemy already?
One other complaint I had was how they switched the priorities for MGs/deployables a while ago. Honestly it seemed better before that, because now it almost never does what I want.
~Pick up a med station? You mean mount the turret?
~Mount the turret? Clearly you want to pick up your med station! entire team dies because the med station is gone
