how can you create textures at a scale of 4:1 or an other scale. because every texture you create is 128 pixels at 64 units. can’t we maken better textures? something like 256 pixels at 64 units?

You can make textures at a doubled size, yes. However, when you apply them to a brush, you’ll have to shrink them using the Surface Inspector. (Press S when having a brushor a face selected.)

Just chiming in here.
Gtkradiant lays the the texture on at .5 scale by default. I don’t know about the other versions, but in 1.5 you can change the default - Preferences>Settings>Brush

I make my own textures, just make sure the res is multiples of two, so 2pixels, 4pix, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048 and so on
