Hey buddies
I’m currently working on a new version of Fueldump, and I want to make that gate at the Depot Garage openable ( the garage where that truck is in ). With a button, just like the Gates at the Allied CP-Garage.
I opened Radiant and looked at those gates to understand how it works, but I really couldnt. It seems so complicated with lots of entities, and the gate itself is not even displayed in Radiant. The code in the .script-file wasnt more understandable either. I decompiled Secret Bay and TC Base to try to understand it there, but it wasnt better there either. The door at Secret Bay doesnt even have a part in the .script-file.
I thought that you could maybe help me with that and tell me what the entities are for and what I need for my gate. I dont want a very complicated one that closes after some time, just a Gate that can be opened and closed with a button.
I want the gate to move up when it opens, so I need to know if it’s possible to hide the part of the gate that has moved into the wall. Because that wall is not very big and if it’s not possible to make the gate invisible and unclip it, it will appear in the room above the garage, which looks a bit unrealistic. So if that’s not possible, I can abort that project, but though it would be nice to know how such a gate works.
So if somebody would find the time to write a little explanation about that, this would be a very very nice thing. [noparse]:)[/noparse]
