How to make an additional mapscript?

Hi…

Some time ago i released a sniper map called Sniper Gigant…

Well… the problem with sniper maps is, that before you compile the map, you gotta decide, if you make the map crossable, so that both teams can cross the map and go to the side of enemy, or if you don’t…

In the last few days some admins, which have running the map on their servers, asked me about a non-crossable version of the map.

Sure, i could simply add a clip-brush into the middle of the map and compile it again, but as this seems to be also possible with an additional mapscript, i’d like to know, how i could realize that, coz i have no idea of it…

im not at home atm … so take a look at the fueldump-script (with the additional bridge) … but dont ask me where you can find it … www.etconfigs.net is down since a few days

Mh ok… gotta check this out although i ain’t got any idea of scripting… :Y

But i got another error in the new map i am working on.
I added a truck, made the clips and in radiant everything shows up fine…

When i compile the map, most of the truck-textures (blitz_sd/blitzbody3.md3) are totally black:

What i don’t understand, is, that the other truck (blitz_sd/blitzbody2.md3) works fine.

Any idea on how to fix this?

lol i have the same problem… some models are black and others just in color… dunno the sulution… maby delete this one and make te same again… ?

Read my post regarding the problem. I fixed that on march 1st…

You have to add the model as a misc_gamemodel instead of a misc_model.
Or: If you’ve already added the misc_model just select it, go to the entities-menu (N) and change the classname from ‘misc_model’ to ‘misc_gamemodel’ yourself.

Worked fine for me this way.
