How to improve accuracy ?

I will definitely focus on this. Also, I’m not sure what “don’t just zone out” exactly means even if I guess I did understand what you mean.

Missions and all the odds that happen in a match always distract me. I’ve to learn to keep calm, focus, and do well.

My PC is not that good, I’d like a 144hz monitor but I’ll have to buy CPU, GPU, mobo… all ^^.
I’ll see if I can record a decent video too, never done before so, every advice is a plus. (software ?)

Thanks guys, you very kind

Another advice: when I have a very bad day or playing merc I’m not good with, I sometimes record ~5mins of my terrible match and then calmly watch it, wondering what was wrong. It actually helps a lot. You see more when you just watch.

Here’s a quick list.

I use Shadow Play, and I can recommend it

Pointless. Just turn off Enhance Pointer Precision, that’s all you have to do to completely remove acceleration from Windows. Also make sure to use Windows sensitivity 6/11, the other steps don’t add acceleration, but they add/ignores mouse input. If you use these settings, it doesn’t matter if the game has raw input or not, you will have a perfect 1:1 mouse input. I don’t know if DB uses raw input because I haven’t tested it, but UE3 does not use raw input by default.

Pretty much every modern game ignores windows mouse accel and instead uses the mouse raw input + whatever the games engine has set. Also, 3rd party gaming mouse software also nukes it.

I am fairly certain you don’t need this for Dirty Bomb even if you don’t have gaming mouse software installed. But correct me if I am wrong.
Many games today are cross-platform and have shoddy PC ports. There is no rule as to how bad mouse controls can be, even in FPS games. AFAIK Fallout 4 has mouse acceleration that has to be disabled in an .ini file.

Doesn’t apply to DB since it’s PC only.
Yes, but we are talking about disabling Windows mouse acceleration and not what it is in the game engine. Hence me saying that the a lot of modern games use raw mouse input and whatever the game engine has set (and UE3 has a lot of weird issues in most games).

I will definitely focus on this. Also, I’m not sure what “don’t just zone out” exactly means even if I guess I did understand what you mean.
It’s just a comment on frame of mind. Some people play Dirty Bomb and other games simply to pass time and they don’t care or get in the habit of not thinking about why they just died or why they didn’t get a kill or why their screen is choppy. They just sort of play for playing. Which isn’t a bad thing, especially if you’re having fun. But if you’re zoning out and ignoring everything going on you won’t learn very quickly.

It’s the gaming equivalent of skimming a book or fast forwarding through a movie. You might catch some of the highlights but you won’t really know what’s going on.

Just tested it, Dirty Bomb does have Raw Input on by default.
