how to get voice-out on headset?

hey,

i found nothing about this issue, but how the hell can i get the voice out onto my headset?
db ignores the windows settings for “default communication devices”, so voice out is in the external 2 way speakers, while mumble and ts are running fine with the given windoze default settings.

  • 2-way speakers connected via onboard sound (default sound device)
  • headset connected via pci-e sound (also configured default comm. device)

You mean speak to your team ingame? Press “X”.

Nah, he means splitting in-game voice communications out to his headset, meaning only the game sounds are still played on his speakers.

@jubilantBeam I don’t think that you can, I haven’t seen an option for it anywhere in either the interface or the configuration files.

Heck, I don’t think there are that many games out there that support such a feature to begin with.

Cant be done…you cant have 2 default sound devices.

well, thought so, thanks.

et:qw even had that, and this isn’t “brand new” anymore (dunno about brink), and many “modern” games support that, because ingame voice and game sound 2 different streams anyways, so it shouldn’t an issue anymore since windoze vista, it’s all about api calls.

think here we are right: https://msdn.microsoft.com/de-de/library/windows/desktop/dd940522(v=vs.85).aspx
