How to fix the Cobalt issue. (List Ideas Here)

This entire issue will be solved if their steam market was online. They are trying to solve half the solution without the other half. If 1=1, then all cobalt cards will be the exact price on the market. 1+1=1 has a small variance. Their current system would have preserved the individual card desirability/rarities.

But the problem with the current system is the AMOUNT of RNG you have to deal with for the trade up. The system would be near ideal if you had an option to PICK four cards it can RNG choose from. Lower the RNG, but price still is high. 4 cobalts to trade in, but you can pick which 4 cobalts it will chose from. This keeps the price of other undesirable cobalts on the steam market high, as they are being traded up.

Sounds reasonable? I think so.

(Also, It’ll be nice if you can cross pick cobalts from other mercs. I just realized it’s per merc you pick. But I was writing it assuming you can pick any cobalt card from any merc. So any system where you can PICK your chances I’d like to try).

X cobalts + a fee = a cobalt of choice.

Honeslty I don’t get why trading 3 cobalts for a random one of the desired merc is bad, it’s totally feasible.

It’s just the trade up credit cost and card cost is ridiculous after bronze, 4 bronze for a silver, 4 silver for a gold, and 6, SIX for a cobalt. Not to mention the credit cost.

Just reduce this stuff a bit and you’ll see people more likely to spend those credits on this stuff.

It’s like getting a case inside a case and not a cobalt. People paid for elite cases and now they have to pay again for RNG to get rid of cobalts they never use.
