i somewhere read and yet have displayed the value of an accum variable ingame, but i couldnt find the command anymore and i forgot it
searched all tutorials i know, but as it is, you read sth there and there, and at no place you will find completeness. it somewhere was explained . so can anyone send me the command ? i want to display it like wm_announce.
how to display accum variables ingame
From Chruker’s
printaccum <accumNumber>
Prints the value in ‘accumNumber’ to the console.printglobalaccum <accumNumber>
Prints the value in ‘accumNumber’ to the console.
thx…best forum ever
@thorne: sounds interesting. you mean sth like in phatamorgana. but as i plan sth more dimensional (speaking of dimension of 1000) then this will probably not work, as i think the remapshadercommand is somehow limited, dunno. for the moment i am just satisfied that they are just displayed ingame so that i can check the value immediately
btw.: someone has an idea how to compare to accum variables, f.e. sth like this (not real code):
accum n abort_if_less_than accum m
?

Unfortunately that is not possible in the way you want (without a long road). You can check the site I gave you to know what is possible, it lists all the commands. There are some neat things that you can do easily with accums. Tell us exactly the usage and we’ll help you. We should be able to find a workaround for your problem.
lol, my intentions are just like displayed. i have 2 accum variables and i want to make out which value of them is higher. i can imagine doing some divide and conquer algorithm on it, but this will definitly caus a headache for me :(. and probably it wont work, must have a try and see how far i get. if anyone wants to write this code for me it would be awsome :stroggtapir::stroggtapir:
hmmm…probably wont work
Why don’t you just have one accum? Inc -1 when you want the “other accum” to decrease and inc +1 when the other one. Then check if the accum is below, equal or above zero, or if you want to check how much it’s bigger, then check a value. That should do it.
hm…this should indeed do the trick, but as far as i know you cant decrease a variable, or dont i see sth
edit: oh i see now
NOTE: Use negative value to decrease.
OHHH YEEAAAHHHthis will do the trick. sage you are my hero lol. can i give you a hug ? lol no, you cant escape !hug 10030302403240329403294 =D
youll get credits in the readme file
but its gonna be a trash map lol, so just pm me if you dont wish to
Afaik Cpt_triscuit is the one to credit (baserace). I’m not sure but I think he is the one to use that system first.
