how to deal with salty team/players and yourself

(Wolf_Darkrose) #1

So being an FPS salt is everywhere and ive found the easy way to get around it ad still be in a full game.

  1. Ignore chat as much as you can. we all know chat is not useful in anyway unless in comp or stopwatch.
  2. Mute people. there is always that guy going ape or asking for a team scrabble because he cant or doesnt want to be that guy so mute him.
  3. If you have to just leave the match and stop playing the game isnt going to implode without you and by the time you get back on that player 90/1 will have rage quit and you wont see him.
  4. The big one… its a game come on bro its all fun and dang its a f2p there is no really downside to leaving or just ignoring unless like in ranked but its all good fun. So relax and think, your only going to fail if you let it get to you.

Now i might get hate but this is how i deal and enjoy the game even when the salt hits the fan hope it helps if not well good luck.

if you open the console and type in “hudturnoff chat” or somthing like that it turns off chat.

forgot that was a thing myself 10/10

Why do I have to ignore the chat as much as I can and mute people? Can I not just…Not getting upset about people but still read whet they write and hear what they say?

I find it funny usually when people try to be salty. My typical response is “This is the Internet fam, the land where no one gives a @#%$.” But otherwise I just ignore chat completely most of the time.

@Jostabeere some people just spread cancer. you might think it doesnt affect you, and most of the time its surely laughable & entertaining, other times you get cancer.
muting solves all problems

Well if people don’t want to be mad but still get mad, then obviously the “don’t get mad” plan has failed.

well it worked for me

i just argue with people in the chat or spam <3 when i get hackusations. in the beggining the arguing is fun, but it gets stale very quickly.

Sometimes I like people talking sh*t to me then I wreck em real hard and start hackusating me which is flattering.

Talking shit is half the fun in games like this. For example, there was this really poorly balanced match that was pretty much 2v5 for the first couple minutes because nobody was spawning on my team, then this one guy comes in, gets 600 points, and boasts about how he was at the top of the scoreboard. “I just got here, you need to get more points dumbass.”
Well, that unbalanced match ended quickly and he was on the opposing team for the next one. This guy contributed to half my score, he died so easily. I asked him “Why don’t you have more points, dumbass?” and he left the server when the match ended.
The salt is funny and entertaining. I don’t know why so many people are uppity about it, because without that communication & interaction with folks the game, any game, gets just that much more monotonous.
But, then again, the new generations have been raised to believe that words are as effective as sticks and stones. My advice as to how to deal with salt: get over yourself, people aren’t going to and shouldn’t behave in accordance with what you deem appropriate. Thicken up that thin skin of yours if you don’t like it.

talking shit rocks.
also, making fun of people who take themselves seriously is win/win anyway you slice it.
it’s what makes me famous
I miss the good ole days where you smack talked all day long IRL while gaming. Risks abound! You could get into a fight! which also added to the fun .

I am the salty guy so those tips aren’t for me
