how to change your name in game ?

hello, I open the console (home), I type exactly this:

setName nickname

[enter]
nothing changes, why?

Currently your name will not update in game until you restart Dirty Bomb I think. I’ve tried it before and had to restart to have my name update.

Sadly you can only change your name, by changing your Steam ID (because this is what it uses for the nickname). Follow these steps:

  1. Go to your steam profile page.
  2. Click “Edit Profile” on the right-hand side of the banner.
  3. Change the “Profile name” box to whatever you wish to be called.
  4. Scrolls down and click “Save changes”
  5. Done! c:
