Nice video, but I woudln’t really consider it bunnyhopping, bunnyhopping is usually faster than moving normally, where-as in this case it seems like it’s just useful for dodging and suprising your opponents. You’re also not really strafing with the jump either which is what you do to bunnyhop in most other games that have the feature.

I can understand how it technically is though seeing as you have to keep momentum etc…

Sorry, this isn’t real bunnyhopping. This is an actual feature added in for some odd reason, I think to allow you to swap weapons after a wall jump easily without losing speed. There is even an augment for this, called Springy, which is terrible.

After hundreds of hours on different idTech games, I can confirm that this game, and any game on the Unreal Engine, doesn’t have Bunnyhopping, unless it’s been coded in on total and utter purpose.

But yea, this isn’t bhopping, it’s more or less just keeping momentum, not gaining any, though it still has it’s uses.

I probably wouldn’t call it bunnyhopping anymore, given most of the reasons above. I do think there is some potential behind the mechanic though. And springy is still shit, yeah.
