How tdo I get OpenGL 3.1

I want to play brink and I meet the requirements but it says this error message.And the video card is an nvidia GeForceis zero length

You have to install your videocard drivers. You can get them from:
http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-uk

Did you let Steam update your drivers?

The minimum specification for BRINK is listed to require a GeForce 8800GS or above.

Any older card will not support OpenGL 3.1 and is therefore not able to run Brink without modification. There may be some tweaks you can try, but it’s not officially supported.

OpenGL is like Direct X. You have to buy a Direct X 11 card if you want to play the latest games in Direct X 11. If a game requires Direct X 11 (which so far none of them do) a card that doesn’t support it will not work
