how should i fire my weapons?

I am a LEM On cs go now got placed gold 4 after placement games here - but I know little about actual technique in this game.

My main questions: how should I fire? I am aware that this game is as opposite to cs as can be: and that concepts like counterstrafing and muscle memory recoil control are almost irrelevant here, but I want to know more.

I have unbound ads. Is this wise?

When I see an enemy, I strafe around and hold full auto aiming at them. Seems to work but is this the best approach? I heard somewhere that db has 100% running and full auto accuracy, and that it is all crossbar placement. Is this true?

Should I burstfire, or is what I do already correct? Thanks!

burst fire, aim for head
guns have movement penalty and increased spread on full auto
ads is useful at distance and for very small targets
couple good guides here and on Steam

If you are fighting at long range go for the head and fire in 4-5 bullet bursts. The time between bursts should be around 150 - 500 ms(depends on how far away your target is).
Full auto works fine in shorter distances. Also rebind ADS because It’s pretty useful since it zooms in and also reduces your spread. More importantly, it allows you to be completely accurate WHILE jumping. You read that right. Aim down your sights, jump around and you can start killing snipers.

Another good trick is to start using a dot as your crosshair when you get used to the spread, because I feel that the crosshairs in this game don’t accurately represent the spread(just like in Counter Strike).

There is a bug with jumping and ADSing in midair with any burst fire weapons. It make the guns have max spread after landing.

full auto is the way to go wtih most weapons. If someone is far you might contemplate either:

  • pause for a sec to restore acc
  • switch to ADS
