How much credits does it take, to satisfy a completionist?

Out of curiousity, if a newcomer decides to earn every merc and it’s 9 variety of bronze loadout cards, then how much credits does he need?

Here are the rules:

  • The completionist starts out buying mercs, from cheapest to most expensive ones, consecutively.
  • He recycles all of his RNG cards into crafting material (inb4 I know no one in their right mind would craft rarity higher than bronze, but it’s just a theoretical scenario)
  • He crafts all of 9 bronze loadout cards, for each merc. (I know he could buy them in store, but that’s proven very inconvenient).

By my calculations… A lot.

If you craft the cards then there’s a lot of RNG.

All mercs cost 1000x(30x3 + 35x3 + 40x4 + 45x4 + 50x6) = 835,000 credits
Each bronze is 1500 credits and there are 22 mercs currently.
There are 9 loadouts for each merc (assuming you only want the gen 2 ones)

So assuming you pray to the RNGods every day twice a day and only get cards you don’t already own. 1500922 = 297,000 credits. Even though the chance to get so lucky is 1x(8/9)x(7/9)x(6/9)…x(1/9) so you will end up spending a lot more

So that’s 1,132,000 credits to get everything if you are lucky, assuming you don’t buy cases and basically have infinite fragments.

But more realisticly, it will probably take closer to 1.5-2 million credits. That’s some serious grind

Edit: replaced all the * with x because it messes up the editing and it’s easier than adding a \

Shame they removed Bronze bundles, containing all 9 bronze cards. For 100 000 credits each. Least it was a discount, for all the patient ones, not wanting to deal with RNG.

This reminds me that I’m really close to having every G2 bronze loadout in the game and every G1 I could see myself using. I think I’m missing 10 useless ones. I should get on that for the sake of having them.
