how many types of cobalt are there?

i know about shard and platinum but i got something else the skins are all black with sparkels or something… what is it called?

There are only two types of cobalts.
The one you described is fragment but with HQ materials off.

There is shard(blue) and fragment (the shiny chrome one that turns to black night sky with low graphical settings)

Wait, but the black cosmos one looks sooooooo much cooler than the chrome one. That needs to be made into it’s own skin surely?

Perhaps. I know one thing.
As long as HQ materials is off you will see the cosmos one.
Once it’s on you see the shiny chrome but certain parts of character models will look like zombies.
If I’m not mistaken somebody posted a fix for that somewhere…

Kind of odd about the cobalts though. Honestly the cosmic just looks like someone threw up on the silver loadouts.

I hope if they add more it will be to other types…hard as hell to get a good gold card…when you want only a certain loadout in swiss red, imagine how much more painful building Cobalts would be with a 3rd skin…

With Gold…I love the red and black swiss…not a huge fan of either of the other two…but every gold I’ve personally created is the gold…usually the bamboo(?) one.

I don’t have one, but both cobalts aren’t bad I suppose…but gold on the other hand is kinda the opposite…the golds are just to yellow imo…kinda hurts my eyes…the only yellow skin I’ve liked was the containment skin…but I’m a born loser so I never even got a single contamination card >.> just like with the red swiss and I always get the golds.

I for one and only think some mercs, in my own opinion namely Sparks, Phantom and Rhino, look so much better in Silver? Carbon for first 2, Urban for our loved/hated/shreked man-with-muscle-and-fat.

Then again mercs that are blue or blue-hued grey by design like Phoenix and Redeye are a must-have in Cobalt, Fragment specifically.
