Check the stats for both those abilities, then the stats of the two mercs and then you’ll understand why.
How many times devs changed the game without our knowledge?
A developer straight up posted that there have been no changes, yet people are totally disregarding it.
There is absolutely no reason/benefit why they would lie about this.
smh

Who’s talking about lying? Mistakes happen. Shoe (a community manager, not a dev, mind you) can double check all he wants if the change is not documented.

Yet developers and publishers lie to customers every day.

if theres a benefit duh.
I see no benefit in lying here. But if if you can give an explanation as to why he would lie about this I’m all ears
@stayfreshshoe is working with the devs in the same building constantly and we pour over those patch notes more than you know. Trust us on this one please
Why should we trust any of you?
I do not mean that in a nasty way, but the question does stand, why should we?
You guys go out of your way to hype almost every little small patch you do, no matter how ineffective it is, or how boring.
‘Hey guys, we are just releasing a patch in 3 days that will make the game cooler, just wait and see!’. The fanboys go nuts (yah!) but the rest of us just sit there in the hope that it might be a good patch. And we wonder why we got excited.
So yeah, trusting you, why should we? You haven’t exactly earned it so far. Stop playing for the fanboys, and offer some real transparency.
What is that supposed to mean ? A dev-side community manager says no to something we all noticed empirically. Is this a good reason to say us bugger off ?
@immenseWalnut Working on the transparency. While we have been hyping the upcoming patch we have been pretty clear on what’s exactly going in it and what can be expected from it.
There are still so many times when trustful people have set their pants on fire.
Please stop “hyping upcoming patches”. I’ve never seen anything like the behavior here, and I am truly glad I have never bothered to watch a dev stream based on the round-up posts.
It’s like teasing what might be in the xmas-gifts and it turns out to be small chunks of coal.
Transparency is great. I see very little of it, just a whole lot of “tihihi, who might the next merc be” from the devs for weeks on end, and “lowered spread on gun X by 5%” in the patch notes.
Inform us. We’re already here, we’re interested in the game, some have spent money. We don’t need to be “hyped”, we appreciate actual, concrete information instead.
We trust you and the team, don’t worry, but we’re not dreaming this Kira laser thing up, it really did change and we’re not crazy. Not recently, but it did, regardless, and it wasn’t documented.
I don’t think anyone here cries foul, we’re just pooling among ourselves if there have been any other changes like those that we weren’t aware of.

Wait what? When did Kira’s laser change? I don’t play her often so I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

Read up in the thread, Kira’s laser used to be ‘elastic’, where aiming close to it would make it move slow, but aiming at the far side of the map would make it a lot faster. That changed several weeks after her release, but was never documented.
Is that the new “Safari feels snappier”?[/quote]
At least searching for chocolate eggs does not kill lions
Not to forget changes to the corresponding grenade’s damage and/or radius, of Fragger and Nader, just before the free-rotation-release of these. Or even some stuff you claimed to have changed in the patchnotes but still beeing “here” in the final-“after-patch”-version? And so on…
I mean, this isn’t WoW, so logically, or let’s better say necessarily, “nerfs” shouldn’t be concealed simply, to pacify some children? We are primarily beta-testers and no customers? Right?
So you really shouldn’t be afraid of chasing us away while keeping-up a working dialog with us, don’t you?
