Do you guys know how many multiplayer maps will brink have?. Hope its at least some 10 :x Thks.
How many multiplayer maps ?
from looking at the map on the official site it can be estimated around 15-20 maps, but remember that multiplayer and single player are not words to be thrown around with this game since its all drop-in drop-out all the time (unless your not connected to the internet
A “Captain Awesome Man” made a very good argument for about 12 maps on the Bethesda forum the other day.

- Stern said that if you play through both campaigns, it would take around 10 hours.
- Assuming Brink has 12 maps like Quake Wars did, and assuming you need to play each map twice (once for each campaign) that would essentially be 24 maps.
- 25 (minutes) x 24 (maps) = 600 (minutes)
- 600/60 = 10 hours for both campaigns [End Quote]
Makes sense to me.

Well they said that some of the maps won’t be in the main campaign and will be “filler for the story” like Reactor map from E3, they said that it wasn’t part of the main game
Mostly single players levels are created first, and multiplayer levels get created from them.
I would guess between 10-15 maps

But there are no single player maps all are multiplayer the difference ever is that you play against AI offline and players online

- Maps probably aren’t 25 minutes long. I would think they will most likley vary in length (as they will probably use map times to balance the map win/loss rations). My understanding was map times were going to be shorter than ETQW maps (20 minute maps). So who knows what the average is?
- A 25 minute map doesn’t take 25 minutes to finish on average. It only takes 25 minutes if you are defending and win, or attacking and win in the last minute. In fact, a 25 minute map may take longer than 25 minutes to win on average (lost the first time, took 25 minutes, won the second time in 15 minutes, that’s 40 minutes to finish that map).
So 25 minutes could actually be a good guess on times, but not because the maps are that long. It’s pretty much a wild ass guess though.
I think based on the single player aspect they would feel like they need a lot more than 12 maps. My guess is at least 20 (and like everyone else, it’s just a guess).
I was figuring it would be about 18. Most FPS games have about an 8 hour long singleplayer. Since single and multi are one n the same here and if games roughly last about 30 mins on average( I hope) Then you could safely assume for 8 hours you would need 16 maps. Plus a bonus map for both sides since I heard the generator map is a resistance bonus map so I would assume there would be one for security as well. So my guess is at 18.
Another thing people aren’t considering in the single player time frame is that out of that 10 hours how much of it is actual map time and how much of it is cut scenes playing to set the story?
I can say with 100% absolute certainty, that the game will ship with at least 1 map and most likely, more than 2.
Lets just do some simple math.
First, sqrt(-1/0)…
12 tapirbillion maps.
