How long will Dirty Bomb be RNG?

(Grin___) #1

So I’ve found myself getting frustrated with my recent trade-ups, Actaully, I get frustrated from about all of them, whether it be the perks, weapons, Or even the camo, When I trade up I’m never happy with the result. And It’s been getting to the point of me quitting. I really love this game, I really do, But this aspect alone is making my love for the game disappear. Now I know I’m not alone, I’ve seen MANY others say this system is very bad; but will them saying that really matter? I would like to know if this loadout system will be changed.

(CLS) #2

If you are quiting the game because you can’t have your shinny little card, maybe this game wasn’t for you in the first place. besides, since the game is a F2P, DEVs actually need an income, RNGs on non-essential part of the game is what keeps this game being updated.

I feel your pain mate.

I’ve been trying to get the SM72 for Sawbonez in gold for about 6 months now.

About 7 billion CR73’s but no SM72.

On my other account, did 1 gold tradeup, you guessed it, SM72. lol.

They won’t change it, because whoever’s in charge read about the mobile games market and figured they’d do the same despite this being an actually good game.

Just don’t spending any money on this game is the best way to do it.
If you bought crates with money, you can complain all you want about the current model, you’re the reason it’s still active, and will never go away.

The stupid part is that without the playerbase, the game dies. So they made a good game to keep the player base, and ingame purchases based on people spending a thousand dollars on gambling.
In the end, nobody is happy, but at least the game is good?

(Rjsto) #5

But there is no rng if you just play the game for the game! Trade ups, trade ins, case openings, all is just voluntary, you can buy the loadouts you want in bronze with credits. If you don’t wantto deal with rng, you literally never have to

(MTLMortis) #6

You can buy any bronze loadout with in-game credits and they’re cheap. That keeps things fair, balanced, and not pay to win.

If you’re looking for a specific cosmetic loadout, that has nothing to do with the actual gameplay.

If they put up cosmetic loadouts for 5€ would you buy it or complain that they’re being money grubbing leeches?

You do realize that all the trade ups and trade ins are done with in game currency right? And the only way you can use real life money to get more credits is to buy a booster or one of the starter bundles, right? Nothing they are doing is wrong or money hungry. If OP wants that card, get it in bronze for next to nothing.

Don’t you mean he’s the reason the game is still alive? They won’t change it, and people buying Elite Cases just allow the game to be F2P. If they don’t make money out of the game, they shut it down and that’s it.

So please don’t say this kind of things.

About the only critique you can make about their monitization model is the prices. There’s an argument to be made that they’d actually make more money if they lowered the prices slightly for mercs, cases, and bronze cards since the lower price would mean more people buying them. You keep the people who were already willing to spend the higher price AND you now have people who weren’t willing to buy because the price was just a bit too high for them to justify spending the cash on these items.

You have no data to back this statement up, besides, if you find a 10$ merc too expensive as opposed to a 5$ one, then you probably have more serious problems in life than Dirty Bomb, just sayin’

(AnonOmis1000) #11

So being frugal is an issue? I’m arguing the value of these mercs. I’m not really willing to spend $10 to buy a merc. If they were $8 I’d be more willing to spend the cash instead of saving up credits.

(Ardez1) #12

And if they were $8 people would be more willing to buy them if they were $5. :stuck_out_tongue:

(AnonOmis1000) #13

Yes but it’s a happy balance that you have to strike.

I have two Crown Gold SM72’s, but am looking for a CR73… Sawbonez never gives you the desired loadout. He’s cheeky like that.

(FerfyDerf) #15

Any idea how many tradeups you guys have done? I’m at 18 silver Sparks with no 383…

(onLooSe) #16

16 gold trade ups for SM41 Nader - got one CR81 at least, few SMG-9 ones and more than 10 hochfir cards… 2 Cobalt trade ups for the same thing - hochfir only. I don’t want to trade in, so I’m pretty much over with SM41.

For sparks silver 383 I made more than 10 trade ups to get it and I can’t bother to go higher than that.

(Runeforce) #17

I once did over 40 tradeups into Stoker, without getting the desired loadout. Bought it from the store…next day a cobalt version dropped from a regular crate.

(AnonOmis1000) #18

You don’t get obsidian from cases

(Runeforce) #19

Right you are. That was a mistype. Still a true story though, and it even dropped in my favorite skin variant, the fragment…just after I spent a couple of hundreds of leads and a bunch of credits on trading.

No see, the stupid part is I’d pay money for the skins. Specifically the gold red skins. But I can’t. And the current system is so unbelievable consumer unfriendly it’s stupid.

With the same argument you could argue for one million dollar mercs.
