What? This game is ridiculously full of bugs and boring to boot. I played a couple of hours of the single player last night and the AI of the bots is pretty dumb. My ā€˜team mates/squadā€™ are morons and little to know help.

Why should anyone trust you? Your OPINION is just that, your opinion. Thereā€™s nothing to trust. It is my opinion (and a ton of others in this forums and other forums) that the game is a POS.

Brink is a MP game in case you didnā€™t noticed.

Really? Wait, I see a solo mode? Oh, so your telling me thatā€™s just a stub to grab my attention and get me to buy it. Ok, great, Iā€™ll go play coop: THE REASON I BOUGHT IT. Oh, wait, it doesnā€™t work (as dozens of people in multiple forums have said). Seems to me like it fails in multiple ways.

Thankfully Iā€™m not having the entire gamut of problems many others are having, including FPS issues, crashes, sound problems, mouse problems, character loss, etc, that make the situation terminal whether you play MP or solo.

You might want to read the copy on brinkthegame.com about what type of game they promote it to be: Brink is an immersive first-person shooter that blends single-player, co-op, and multiplayer gameplay into one seamless experience, allowing you to develop your character whether playing alone, with your friends, or against others online.

Note the extolling of solo play in the featuresā€¦

they care, i had a problem and within 5 min of the thread gettin posted i had someone (im not sure if it was developer but it WAS someone from splash damage) post thanking me for the information (i did the dxdiea whatever thingy) and for kicks i looked at his post, he has been all over the fourms on all the bug list and stuff saying that they are working on it and thanking people for there help, THEN (this is what suprised me) about hour or 2 latter some with my problem in another thread had found a fix and he linked me (on my thread) to the thread with the fix. no i havent tried it yet (updating frikin windows cas someone said it would help) but im about to try. and hopfully it will work

I donā€™t know that I agree that they care. I havenā€™t (though I havenā€™t dug deep) seen any indication from SD or Bethsoft that they acknowledge the problems in Brink. There have been some very limited suggestions from people in the community (and to a lesser degree SD) but these have had little impact. Maybe youā€™ve seen better response in the posts related to graphics (Iā€™m not having graphics issues so I havenā€™t followed those threads), since you mention dxdiag.

They posted this on the bethesda forum, they say there is an updateā€¦but I did not see any on STEAM whatsoever, or any feedback from anyone. So I guess we will just waitā€¦

Id just like the textures to be sorted out on the PS3 versionā€¦ You can see them loading if you go from one place to another and just makes the game look uglyā€¦ Enjoying the game, just needs a few tweaksā€¦
Not sure what the 18mb patch did but its didnt sort that stuff out.

The patch notes on steam do not say anything regarding performance boosts, but this news did basically give me my answer for this thread. The answer being ASAP.

The update installs automatically in Steam. Mine did today, but it was small so it happens fast and you might not notice it.
