How is this possible?

Here is two cards that are Identical, one is Bronze and one is silver, how is this possible and what is the point of trading up your cards to silver if they are identical as bronze. I would call that a scam, really, If the only difference is the skin of the weapons (if there is any difference at all), than is really no point to it, you need 12 cards and 1500 coins, (that´s a value of 11500 coins total for ONE bronze card, and another four bronze card to trade up to silver, you get were I´m going with this I hope… you risk ending up with an identical card as the one you had, plus that you loose alot of cards in the process (from bronze to silver).

So my question is what the point is with bronze silver and gold cards if the load-out can be exactly the same

I’ve found the same thing. there appears to be no difference between the cards from Bronze to gold other than the camo on the gun.

Personally i’m not really bothered by it. It’s fun to get a gold card when you open a pack but beyond that i don’t care too much. I’ve had my ass kicked by people with stock loadouts so they don’t add too much anyways.

I can see this becoming a problem because people will expect a better card if they go for a gold and will make really uninformed choices on trading up wich will cause alot of unhappiness and general whine.

Either implement something that has to do with the card value (not more augs or something like that because then we’d be really looking at a p2w system), maby cosmetic slots on the cards and you could equip different skins on different card values or something.

Or just explain the system alot better than is currently done so people don’t go bananas when they’ve wasted 10$ or whatever getting a gold card and getting something worse than the bronze ones they started out with.

Agree with both above.

the major reason i look for cards are the weapons - can’t really play with the shotgun so for me to use Proxy I really want a smg. same for aura etc. therefore I would like to see a possibility to keep a weapon when upgrading.

this card shit is to much random IMO, I don’t care about the ability’s thew card has, but trading a good bronze card with SMG (or like four cards) and get a shitty silver card with a shotgun is really not that fun at all.

From now on I wont trade cards higher than bronze… How the gun looks like has no really game value at all.

I thought SD was suppose to make a good competition game. Not some random Pokemon-skill-game… Right now, it´s two much Pokemon card-skill and less team based action skill. And I really hope that all cards are “basic” in competition mode/clan matches…

There is indeed no point in trading Bronze cards up, unless you have duplicates / useless ones. Then it’s up to you if you want to chance it to get a shinier skin for your merc and weapons.

I think it could have been better communicated that Bronze/Silver/Gold were the same loadouts with different skins, but personally I think it’s fine like that. Bronze card are not that hard to get to, so it’s relatively easy to get a decent loadout for the mercs you like. But if you like your bragging rights / swag / bling you can go after those Silver and Gold. If Gold were significantly better than the rest, people would be screaming Pay2Win…

Bragging Rights, The gold card visuals look pretty.
